Health Management Resources

One program for rapid weight loss under the supervision of a doctor is a health management resource. It is usually administered in hospitals and medical facilities. Participants typically consumed a very low-calorie diet of up to 800 calories per day.

However, it is important that these patients are closely monitored by a doctor. Another 1,200-calorie daily diet option is also available. Both plans use meal replacement shakes, bars, and appetizers. A weekly 90-minute class is mandatory. Weight loss is usually 1-5 pounds per week. This program is offered in more than 200 hospitals or medical centers in the United States.


This quick weight loss plan uses liquid meal replacements and fortifying bars. Regular healthy foods are added to the meal rotation as weight is lost. Dieters eat 800, 950 or 1,200 calorie meal plans.

Only those who need to lose at least 50 pounds can participate in the program. The weight loss phase lasts about three months, followed by a six-week transition program. Maintenance takes place after five months. The program focuses on behavior change, physical activity, and counseling.

Health Management Resources

HMR programs help dieters achieve long-term weight loss. Rapid weight loss occurs under medical supervision. This highly structured and easy-to-follow diet focuses on lasting weight loss and healthy eating habits.

Dieters lost an average of 43-61 pounds. Her low-calorie diet includes HMR shakes, soups, entrees, energy bars, hot multigrain cereal, and puddings. Weekly group meetings are held to track progress. There are also weekly coaching calls with trained health educators.

Program New Direction

The program uses meal replacement products to help patients meet nutritional needs while losing weight. Didn’t eat any food at all. Calorie restriction is set based on the patient’s baseline weight, gender, activity level, and age, typically 600-800 calories for women and 800-1,000 calories for men. Meal replacements provide mild levels of ketosis and help reduce hunger and cravings.

Eligible individuals must be at least 21 years old and have a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 with a medical risk. Members can lose 3-5 pounds per week. Weekly medical monitoring is required. Along with monthly physicals and laboratory tests. Have an EKG for every 50 pounds you lose. Check your blood sugar regularly. Group classes are conducted by licensed and registered dietitians and other staff.

A screening phase, which includes a physical exam and laboratory and an electrocardiogram, precedes acceptance into the program.

Medical Speed

The Medi-Speed program is designed to help patients achieve fast and safe weight loss. Patients lost an average of 2 to 5 pounds per week for the first two weeks and 1 to 2 pounds per week thereafter. Patients eat six meals a day and quickly learn about their weight while learning healthy eating habits to use during the transition and maintenance phases.

There are more than 70 meal replacement products to choose from. Meals can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Ideal for guests with busy schedules. The meal replacement itself is satisfying for the patient and is not deprived between meals.

They also provide patients with nutrition, and each meal is low in fat and calories. Healthcare professionals monitor patients closely; however, this procedure is the least practical of all the procedures mentioned.

All of these plans vary in low price. Some may even be covered by your insurance company. Check with your insurance company to see if you have coverage for this type of weight loss, especially if you have potentially life-threatening comorbidities.
